VICENTE ENRIQUE MALDONADO ZEVALLOS

Vicente Enrique Maldonado is a Doctor of Jurisprudence at the Catholic University of Guayaquil. He is a Ph.D candidate in Tax Law at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. He also holds an MBA from the INCAE School of Business in Costa Rica. He studied economic development at the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, España, and International Tax at Universidad Getulio Vargas, Brazil. He holds diplomas in taxation, contracts and arbitration. He recently classified and recapitulated more than 1,800 administrative pronouncements tax published in 12 volumes. He was Professor of Tax Law and Arbitration Law in at several Ecuadorian universities. He devises a method that speeds up learning by more than 500 percent.

 Maldonado is the Arbitrator of the Quito and Guayaquil Chambers of Commerce. He has resolved more than 70 arbitrations. He has been tax advisor of national and international banks in tax planning, tax optimization and corporate optimization. He has held position as legal advisor of the following companies: CELEC EP HIDRONACIÓN S.A., Parque Nacional Galápagos, Fundación Hacia la Seguridad Jurídica, Fundación LEXIS, and Corporación para el Desarrollo Universitario CODEU, Ecuador. He is also the co-founder of the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador. He has been a guest lecturer in almost all of the major Ecuadorian universities.

Maldonado has been juridical adviser to the following public entities: Presidency, Attorney-General's Office and Customs. He was also National Director of Consulting and Government Procurement, Secretary-General of the Government, Attorney General of the Nation, responsible juridical adviser to the Development of the River Guayas Basin (CEDEGE) and Ecuadorian State Petroleum Corporation (CEPE). He has also held positions as Legal Director, Director General and Deputy Assistant Director-General for customs.

Its achievements include the gain of customs revenue +/- 300 to 3.500 millions sucres per day. He won complains tax to several tens of millions of sucres-, and another over 1.200.000.000 millions sucres for the State’s defense. He hosted a 60 minute radio program which was produced and broadcasted weekly, know as "Transform problems into opportunities”.
